Apple has lifted the claim is held firmly
over the years that the operating system Mac OS X resistant virus.
This attitude was
taken after hundreds of thousands of Apple Mac computers around the world were
attacked by malicious "Trojan horse" Flashback.
Initially, the
official site in our Mac OS X, Apple lists the information, stay with the
language of marketing, that the Mac "is not affected by PC virus" and
said that Mac owners "can maintain data without having to do
anything."
Furthermore, there
is also the sentence reads, "The Mac is not vulnerable to computer viruses
that disrupt thousands of Windows-based computers".
However, Apple quietly changed the words of marketing it in
early June 2012. Now those words sounded Mac "was built to provide
security". Also mentioned that the Mac has been equipped with a defense
that prevents malicious programs can take control of the user's computer.
This was considered by computer security expert Graham
Cluley from security firm Sophos UK.
"They decided to no longer compare the number of
malicious programs in Windows because it does not look convincing. Unless they
open that the Mac is also no bad program," said Cluley.
In April, some 600,000 Macs attacked by trojan horse malware
(trojan horse) Flashback, capable of password stealers and important
information. Mac users the most infected are from the United States, Canada,
UK, and Australia.
